I'd like to add my 2cents too since i enjoy foruming.
I agree with those who say, we shared way TOO many builds of old stalker, which made stalker even more boring for some people, or some ppl became too greedy, and want even more, and more. I also agree, that the video quality is not so good, the source video was captured on a low end laptop, in order to make it before the weekend.
The meaning of this video was to show some storyline quest, which we worked on at the moment, because we found it boring to show a simple level fly-by video as last year. This sort trailer has more action than all our videos alltogether. The video was [b]not[/b+] meant to be a 1:1 remake of the old "E3 2004 Press Intro". Why would we spend days on a video remake, which we won't even use in our game? The quest is work in progress as many might have noticed (either from the video, or from the vid description on moddb or youtube), and was cut many times to remove the not needed parts, or spoilers (talk with npcs which would spoil the story + also dialogs are not finalized, and walking on the level to reach some point).
What i dont agree with, are such somments like: "nothing new in the video" "we saw it in other mods, and final game". People want/expect too much nowdays. Sure, we can do anything in stalker as you already noticed, but we already shared too much of our work. Why do you think that in our new video we didnt show anything new? If someone says there is nothing new in our video, then sure there aren't any for them. Usually those, who dont follow our project post such things, which we accept, because we can't expect all people to be up to date all the time with all mods/games out there. But ifs funny, that many people who call themselves "enthusiastic stalker fan", didn't even notice that those voices which we used ingame, are actually from ex-gsc workers, which can also be heard in e3 2004 press intro. Maybe its hard to notice, but while we are making new things, we really care about the old atmosphere as well, and these voices are part of it.
If we would keep on making videos with stuff as usable pc-s, board games, pda chat, cooking, wpn upgrades, new alife features, and other stuff as you saw in AF videos, do you think that would lead to a good end? Many modmakers started to copy our features already, since they saw that its possible to do (and because they dont have own ideas), yet they dont know how, or it will be some cheap remake. Can you imagine, how hard is to make such features as we made? Why would a bunch of experienced ppl spend 3-4years on a free project? Or you think its just we sit down, drink a beer, and we have 60000 ideas, then write 2 lines of code, and all is done, then we delay the project for years to make it look serious?

This information society makes people too convenient, and ppl loose their old abilities. To say with an example: they only see the paint of the car, not the chassis itself. Sure, many mod uses now the old hand texture, old weapon positions, whatever, since these many builds... but thats only the "paint". There are things, which can hurt other people, and now some of you pushed that button. Just wanted to make a note on that. Sorry if it looks like im angry or anything, im not, its my usual style if i see comments which i dont like, and since we are living in a free world, we can express our feelings freely
